Beige paint isn't automatically the worst choice, but that outlet cover absolutely is.

no, i think that the person was matching the old paint color on his walls for touchups probably. rather than take a knife to some drywall, he took off the painted switch. brilliant actually!

Some people write their paint info on the back of plate covers.

OK...I must agree that an arrest should be in order in the event that an individual was matching the paint of a switch plate...but what if you have actually come across the originator of the paint for those outlet plates? They are now forever busted by Decorno, the always looking and knowing of potential design failures. Good Call!

Maybe he wouldn't have searched......he probably would have. The worst color ever is that plastic color of switchplates and plug plates. I wish I could find someone to blame.....however....it is irrelevant.

Except that the thing was not painted over and you can see the blob of paint on the can and it matches the sad greenish-beige of the plate cover. You guys give Michelle Adams no credit and then you want to defend the guy at Lowe's buying Band-Aid paint?

I had to enlarge the picture because at first it didn't seem THAT bad. But on further reflection, this is rather ugly. That color is 1920's institutional and probably means that man just got out and wants to feel at 'home'...hey, I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt or at least a back-story worthy of some pity.
did he wonder why someone was leaning over his can to take a picture?? Maybe he thought you were going to copy his scheme!!
I think his basic problem is that he is just straight man and matching his wall paint to the switch plates actually seems like a good idea to him.
